With Celtic blood from both parental sides (one Irish, one Scottish) it’s understandable that storytelling through song comes naturally to him. Those who have experienced injury will know how powerful a time it can be, none more so than Keenan who, back in 2013, suffered a broken neck. It was during this recovery time that he honed his songwriting skills, turning the misadventure into his creative advantage. Thanks to the experience of waiting it out for his body to heal he acquired some valuable skills that he would apply to his process - commitment and patience. With a natural draw to raw and thought-provoking singer/songwriters’ such as Jack White, Jamie T, Jeff Buckley, Mac De Marco and Bob Dylan, Bower held that inspiration close and busked his way around the world, wholly embracing a voyage of musical discovery.
